WHO'S PADI?
Padi’s skills lie in building and motivating teams and executing the tactical plans – “getting things done.”
She’s energetic and highly engaged with the Waimakariri community. Now, Padi Nistala wants to get even more involved to bring people together for a stronger, more connected community.
Padi Nistala wants to work with you towards a self-reliant and resilient Waimakariri district. There are three key areas which must be addressed to achieve a vibrant community that is economically sound and environmentally healthy. Long-term forward thinking is essential. Actions now can influence and shape our future.
Padi Nistala believes that Waimakariri is well placed to grow sustainably. Innovative ways to develop industries and business that suit our environment. Initiatives to increase local employment opportunities. Encourage sustainable production and responsible consumption for long term benefits.
Our individual capacity and contribution towards a sustainable environment are different. Padi wants to see we have the options to be involved in caring for our environment through actions big and small. We all have a part to play, and we can, given the right opportunities
We are all global citizens. Padi believes that a big part our identity is created through our actions. A healthy, thriving community is one where people have a sense of belonging and connectedness. A resilient community where people of all demographics, ethnicities and ages live and work alongside, support, and learn from, each other.
